How is it that certain Latex Glove makers get away with charging such a high price for their products when there are so many other Brand Name Latex Gloves that cost less and out perform the more expensive gloves?
Q: How is it that certain Latex Glove makers get away with charging such a high price for their products when there are so many other Brand Name Latex Gloves that cost less and out perform the more expensive gloves?
A: This is a common problem in the Health and Medical fields today. Companies like MICROFLEX rule the markets of Dental, Medical, Fire, and E.M.S. They truly have a monopoly in the glove business. I like to compare them to software companies like MICROSOFT, because like Microsoft, Microflex is the leader of all Latex and Nitrile glove sales in the United States and they are one of the richest glove manufacturers in the world.
Q: Does this mean that there product is better because it costs more?
A: No! Also do not be fooled by there colorful Artsy Fartsy Boxes. It's all the same inside.
I would like to compare a glove that I have found called THE DYNA-GRIP distributed by (SAS corp.) to Microflexes DIAMOND-GRIP.
DYNA-GRIP________________DIAMOND-GRIP 8mil Thickness______________6.3mil Thickness Full Textured Grip____________Same Easy Slip On________________Maybe 50 Micrograms protein________Same Powder Free________________Same 100 Gloves per box__________Same Dyna-Flex Technology________NO
PRICE_________________PRICE $55.00 per case_________$75.00 per case
I have actually seen the Diamond Grip go for $99.00 per case on some Web Sites. Go to www.EMP.com Check out there Microflex pricing. It's crazy!
If you go to www.glovesaver.com they have the lowest price I have found online for the Dyna-Grip. Most places sell it for $72.00 per case. Glovesaver.com has it for $55.00 per case with no shipping ripoff (yes, free shipping) in the U.S.A.
I hope I convinced anyone who is looking for a brand name latex glove like Microflex to compare the specifications first to other Brand name gloves that cost much less. Most of the time you will find out there really is no difference in the Glove. Just in the Name.
